Ente Kross Film lautet der einprägsame Name der 2010 gegründeten Berliner Filmproduktionsfirma, die gemeinsam von Frank Christian Marx und Udo Lutz ins Leben gerufen wurde. Als eine der wenigen deutschsprachigen Firmen im Bereich des schwul-lesbischen Filmgenres hat sich Ente Kross Film das „Queer-Denken“ auf die Fahne geschrieben und siedelt ihre filmischen Inhalte abseits von üblichen Coming-Out-Geschichten an.
Mit ihrem humorvollen Filmdebüt „Männer zum Knutschen“, welches Anfang 2012 erscheint, präsentiert Ente Kross Film ihr allererstes 83-minütiges Filmprojekt. In der Komödie werden auf amüsante Art und Weise typische Klischees und festgefahrene Stereotypen auf die Schippe genommen. Obwohl schwule und lesbische Charaktere im Film längst keinen Exoten-Status mehr inne haben, vielmehr zum deutschen Film– und Serienalltag gehören, stellen homosexuell besetzte Hauptrollen jenseits von Coming-Out-Geschichten, immer noch die Ausnahme dar. Dies zu ändern, ist das auserkorene Ziel von Ente Kross Film, um damit auf humorvolle Art und Weise die Toleranzgrenzen des Deutschen Filmes erheblich zu erweitern.
Der Werdegang der beiden erfahrenen Schauspieler, Frank Christian Marx und Udo Lutz, führt von Tanz und Schauspiel, über Theaterproduktionen, bis hin zu Rollen in bekannten TV-Serien und Spielfilmen mit internationaler Reichweite. Nach jahrelanger Erfahrung im Filmgeschäft vor der Kamera, beschlossen sie nach ihrem letzten gemeinsamen Film die Gründung der Film-Produktionsfirma Ente Kross.
Ente Kross Film is the catchy name of the Berlin based film production company, which was jointly founded by Frank Christian Marx and Udo Lutz in 2010. As one of the few German companies in the field of gay and lesbian film genre, Ente Kross takes up the cause of „queer thinking” and locate its cinematic content apart from usual coming-out stories.
In its humorous film debut „Men to Kiss”, which appears in early 2012, Ente Kross is presenting its very first 83-minute film. In an amusing manner, the comedy shows the typical clichés and gridlocked stereotypes. Although gay and lesbian characters don’t have to bear an exotic status in movies anymore – they are already an integral part of German movies and TV series –, gay leading roles apart from coming-out stories are still an exception. The aim of Ente Kross Film is to change this condition and to considerably expand the limits of tolerance of the German film in a humorous way.
The career of the two experienced actors Frank Christian Marx and Udo Lutz reaches from dance, drama and theater productions to roles in well-known TV series and feature films with international range. After years of experience in the film business in front of a camera, they decided to found the film production company Ente Kross.
